Stamina- It has been said that Christian life is not a sprint but a marathon. We will be seeking the Lord for the grace to maintain the pace to win the race.
For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. Heb 10.36
…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Heb 12.1
Training- Becoming the man of God He desires us to be doesn't just happen; it takes some instruction, encouragement and even being challenged at times. This study will be like having your own personal trainer in a spiritual sense.
If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. I Timothy 4.6-8
Accountability - Someone who will ask you how you are doing, who will see if you are keeping up with the training program. Someone to pray with, that you can talk openly to… man to man.
As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend. Prov 27.17
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Heb 10.24-25

Nutrition - Can't run on an empty stomach. We will feed weekly in the milk, meat and manna of the word and drink deeply of the water of the word.

Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk I Peter 2.2
But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Heb 5.13
I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Jn 6.35
Discipline - There are 10 things in scripture that we are told to do daily. We will be encouraged to live a disciplined life. Daily in the Word, daily in prayer, taking time to meditate daily, to serve daily, to die daily, to be in everyway a disciple of Christ; a disciplined one, a student, a follower.
